NSW: Three criticall injured after car rolls several times
SYDNEY, Aug 24 AAP - Three people critically injured in a car roll-over south of Sydney
have been airlifted to hospital.
The single vehicle car accident occurred on the Hume Highway at Sutton Forest in the
Southern Highlands about 6pm, forcing the closure of the northbound lane for a few hours
following the crash.
All three were raced to Bowral Hospital by road ambulance and from there were flown
by the NRMA CareFlight helicopter to Sydney. All remained in a critical condition.
A Careflight spokesman said a 60-year-old man was in Westmead Hospital with critical
head, abdominal and pelvic injuries after being thrown from the vehicle.
Another man, believed to be aged about 60, was taken under full intensive care management
to Liverpool Hospital.
A woman, believed to be aged about 57, was flown to Nepean Hospital.
NSW Police said it was not clear why the driver had lost control of the car.
