Fed: Teenage binge drinking on govts' hit list
State and federal governments are promising action on the growing problem of teenage
binge drinking.
A report by the Australian National Council on Drugs has found about one in ten teenagers
abuse alcohol in a typical week.
Among 16 and 17-year-olds the figure is one in five .. while more than 450-thousand
children live in homes in which adults binge drink.
Prime Minister KEVIN RUDD says binge drinking is a real problem in Australia .. and
parents are raising the issue with him on a regular basis.
